Maker Space – Salt Lake Center for Science Education

The Salt Lake Center for Science Education (SLCSE) is creating a girls maker space run by women volunteers from the school and community.  Girls maker space will be on Friday’s from 1:30 to 3:30 starting the beginning of November. They are looking for women engineers who would be interested in volunteering their time and experience to encourage girls in the field of engineering and the rewards of choosing it as a career path. The space consists of two art rooms. One is the 2D room that also has a laser cutter. The other room is the 3D room and is a fully functional ceramics lab. We will soon be ordering two 3D printers that will be available as well.
