Christina was elected to serve as Secretary of the Greater Salt Lake (GSL) Section for the 2016 to 2017 fiscal year. She became more active in SWE when she moved to Salt Lake City for work in 2015 after some involvement with SWE during college and enjoys attending various social, professional development, and outreach events sponsored by SWE. She was raised in Oregon’s Willamette Valley and obtained her BS in Civil Engineering and her BA in International Studies from Oregon State University. While attending Oregon State, she worked full- and part-time for CH2M as an engineering intern before obtaining MS in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego. She moved to Salt Lake City to work for Michael Baker International designing the structural systems of federal and industrial buildings. She enjoys writing, reading, beading, dancing salsa and West Coast Swing, and playing recreational softball on a local team. She has very little experience with the winter sports Salt Lake City is famous for, but hopes to learn how to ski this winter.
